Space: The Final Frontier
This picture started out with my friend in a gas mask. I shot the photo with the flash to the right of him and almost through the mask.
When I was editing, I decided to go for a more outer-space look, even though I was in the confines of my bedroom.
I really love to shoot things in a cinematic way since I first wanted a DSLR for movie making and there is a great deal of cinematic emphasis in this shot. For these shots I like dramatic lighting, and a hypothetical letterbox around it at all times.
Shot with my Nikon D60, 35mm f1.8@5.6, and SB-28 flash set a 1/64 power.
